Overview

This short trek and tour package is well-suited for overseas corporate groups that are short on time but want to experience the beauty and culture of Nepal. Blending the breathtaking Poon Hill trek with the laid-back atmosphere of Pokhara, this itinerary hits all the right notes of adventure, culture, and team bonding perfect for companies that want to give their employees a rejuvenating and unforgettable break.

The adventure begins with a short, yet worthwhile, hike up to Poon Hill, regarded as one of the premier locations in Nepal for panoramic views of the mountains. Here, you are almost guaranteed a breathtaking sunrise that lights up the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. The path to Poon Hill is easy and accessible for trekkers of average fitness, with the terrain offering a slight and steady enough incline to carry you upward in a manner that feels well-paced and rewarding, especially with the stunning views that are an integral part of the trek.

The journey doesn’t end after the hike. The group travels to the lovely lakeside city of Pokhara, where they spend two days enjoying not only the natural beauty of this serene spot but also some local topography that serves as an excellent setting for adventure. Team members can choose to partake in Pokhara’s indoor or outdoor offerings as they see fit. All will have even more opportunities to bond before they head back to the capital city of Kathmandu and then home.

This itinerary is intended to capitalize on a brief stay. It allows visitors to do all three of the main things that I think should be experienced in Mendocino—unwinding, exploring, and, above all, bonding in this unique place. There is a little bit of light trekking (the longest hike is 1.5 miles on mostly level ground) and a lot of cultural touring. Between these two, a range of interests and fitness levels should be satisfied. The team that arranged this just ensured that everything runs smoothly. So the group can take in the experience and enjoy (or endure, if you’re into the arts of survival) the great outdoors.

Best Season

The best seasons for this short trek and tour are spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). These periods offer the most favorable weather conditions, clear skies, and comfortable temperatures.

  • Spring (March to May): During spring, the weather is mild, and the rhododendron forests are in full bloom, creating a colorful and picturesque landscape. This season offers excellent visibility for mountain views and pleasant temperatures for both trekking and sightseeing.
  • Autumn (September to November): Autumn is the peak tourist season in Nepal, with clear skies, stable weather, and minimal rainfall. This season provides optimal conditions for trekking, sightseeing, and enjoying outdoor activities in Pokhara.
