Adventure Everest three passes treks

When you land at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representatives will welcome and escort you to the hotel. Upon arrival at the hotel, freshen up and then we will have a session regarding the Adventure Everest Three Passes trek.

Kathmandu also known as the City of Temples is renowned for its religious temples, monasteries, and stupas. These historical and religious monuments are significant for diverse communities in the valley.

Today we will explore Kathmandu Valley from alleys to big temples. One cannot explore every bit of the valley within a day. However, at the end of this expedition, we will have a leisure day to explore the capital further.

In addition, you will also be starting to prepare for your trek. You have to make sure that you have the proper gear and every other required thing for this expedition. If you are confused, feel free to reach out to us at any time.

On the third day, our representatives will take you to the airport early in the morning. From there, the trekkers will get on the flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, one of the most adventurous airports in the world, located between the hills. It takes about 40 minutes for the flight to reach Tenzing and Hilary Airport (Lukla). Once you get off the flight in Lukla, our representatives or your guides will receive you and then take you on the first trek in the Adventure Everest Three Passes journey.

On this day, we reach Phakding after 3 to 4 hours of walking and then take a rest for the day. You can either take a full rest or explore the village before having your dinner and sleeping for the night.

With the early sunrise, we will depart from the serene village of Phakding leaving behind a gentle murmur of Dudh Koshi crossing high suspension bridges. Our journey will pass through Monjo Village (2835 meters) and dense forest, filled with the scent of pine and distant echoes of yak bells leading us to the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park.

This is the checkpoint where we register our permits. As we climb, Mt. Everest (8848 meters) will gradually come into view, with a clear day offering our first breathtaking glimpse.

After we steady climb, we will reach the edge of Namche Bazar (3441 meters), the bustling hub of sherpa culture. Tonight, we will rest in a guest house where the warm  Sherpa hospitality and meals await, and the soothing sound of the Himalayas will make for a restful night’s sleep, setting us up for the next stage of our adventure

Today we will acclimatize at Namche Bazaar to adapt to high altitude. It is one of the important parts of the expedition as we need to ensure that our body adapts to the higher altitude. If we don't, we might face some health issues in the higher altitude of this trek.

Therefore, we will be exploring Namche Bazaar today climbing up to some viewpoints and then trekking back to our hotel at Namche Bazaar. To begin with, we will be heading towards . We will encounter one of the best views of Mt. Everest along with the Khumbu peaks. After some moments, we now proceed to descend

In addition, we can visit many other places on this day. Some include Khumjung Village (3790 meters) to see Yeti Scalp and Syangboche Village (3800 meters) to enjoy scenic views of different mountain ranges.

The next day the expedition of Everest Three Passes continues. After having our breakfast, we will now head towards Tengboche Monastery (3860 meters). It is one of the largest gompas in the Khumbu Region.

After leaving Namche, we will be trekking along the bank of the river. Soon enough we will now be walking through the forest of oak, birch, and rhododendron. Decorated by prayer flags, we will pass across a bridge over the Dudh Koshi River. Then after climbing for a while uphill, we will reach a small village called Phungi Thanga.

Along the trail, we see multiple mountain ranges like Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Ama Dablam, and Thamserku. Moreover, the wildlife at this altitude will astonish you. From musk deer, and Himalayan Thar to colorful pheasants, we get a glimpse of the living of the wildlives.

Finally, after 5 to 6 hours of trekking from Namche going uphill and downhill, and crossing through multiple wooden bridges, we reach Tengboche (3860 meters). You can explore the monastery and see the prayers and the culture of the locals in this region.

You will be accommodating here for the night.

The early sunrise view of the Tengboche Monastery is quite breathtaking. You won't notice the time passing by looking at the changing color of the Himalayas and the sky.

We will now start heading towards Dingboche (4358 meters). The path is a bit more challenging than other days. As we climb uphill the landscape is now barren with fewer trees. Along with that, the windy weather and the rugged path will make the trail harder.

Firstly we descend through the birch woods and rhododendron forest reaching the riverbank. Crossing the Imja Khola, the trek gradually becomes steeper reaching now to Pangboche (3980 meters). After crossing multiple small towns and trekking parallel to the river on the slope of the mountain, we then reach Dingboche.

We will be accommodating here for the night.

For the 2nd time in Adventure Everest Three Passes trek, we will acclimatize at Dingboche. So, we will make sure to trek to a viewpoint and come back to our hotel.

The view of the snow-capped mountain with 2 Buddha stupas early in the morning will make you forget all your tiredness. After having breakfast we will hike toward Nangkartshang Peak (5121 meters). It has multiple names like Nagarjuna Peak, Nangkar Tshang, Nagarjoong, etc. So don't get confused by the name.

After a few moments in the path, once we reach a stupa, the trail splits. One leading to Nangkartshang Peak and another leading to Lobuche. Moreover, trekking on the mountain ridge, the trail will get steeper gently. This can be quite challenging for trekkers.

Nevertheless, the mesmerizing view of multiple alpine lakes and Pheriche Valley will steal your heart making you forget all the steep climbs.

Finally descending back down, looking at the panoramic view of Dingboche Valley you will be returned to your hotel and staying overnight.

 

After acclimatizing at Dingboche, today we will head towards Chhukhung (4730 meters), which is around 3 to 4 hours away. To make sure that our body adapts to higher altitudes we won't be going any further from Chhukhung. The trail is also comparatively moderate than previous days.

After having breakfast, we start our trek early in the morning. As we leave the valley, we trek aside the river and descend the valley. We will see multiple snow-capped mountains peaking above the valley.

Walking aside the river on rocky stones for a few hours and slowly ascending, we will now see Chhukung. We will also pass through prayer flags, mani walls, and stupas on the way to the village.

Since this village is one of the smallest villages in the entire expedition, therefore, you won't be seeing more than a few tea shops. For the night we will be accommodating in one of the tea shops.

Today, we will trek across Kongmala Pass (5535 meters), the very first pass of Adventure Everest Three Passes then finally reach Lobuche (4910 meters). We will encounter some of the best views along Kongmala Pass. However, the trail leading to the pass and further down Lobuche can be quite challenging.

After having breakfast in the early morning, we will pack our bags and start the trek. We will be leaving the Chhukhung once we cross the river and slowly climb uphill on the mountainside.

A few moments into the trek the view of Island Peak Valley and Amphu Lapcha's Stony Peak will steal your heart. After a couple of hours into rocky terrain, we will see Lhotse and Nupste mountains along with other mountains including Kongmala Pass (5535 meters).

On this adventurous journey of Everest Three Passes, Kongmala Pass is one of the highest and most picturesque of all. On the top, we will see the prayer flags with the view of Khumbu Glacier, one of Nepal's largest glaciers. In addition, the view of Kongmala Lake which is surrounded by the mountain peaks looks surreal.

Now, descending from the pass, and trekking along an uneven rocky path, soon we will reach the base of Khumbu Glacier. Then walking across the glacier we reach Lobuche where we will be accommodating for the night.

Today, we are gonna have a long day ahead of trekking to Gorakshep (5160 meters) moving further to Everest Base Camp (5316 meters), and returning to Gorakshep.

The journey starts with an early morning breakfast and preparation to head toward Gorakshep. Trekking across Khumbu Glacier, the scenic view of the north ridge of Everest will mesmerize your eyes. Ascending for a few moments, we will be reaching Thangma Riju. The panoramic view of the Himalayas from here is something that you will remember for eternity.

In addition, the steep path will now reach Changri Glacier. Furthermore, walking for a few moments we now reach Gorakshep. Leaving most of the backpacks in the hotel, we now rest here for a while. Then we will head toward Everest Base Camp.

The path to the base camp will challenge you. Walking along the rocky trail and Gorakshep Lake, we then reach the base camp. The view of Nuptse and Khumbutse along with the colorful tents will steal your heart. Reaching the base camp is also one of the biggest achievements for the trekkers given its challenging trail and the altitude.

Moreover, once we have some moments at the base camp, we then descend back to our hotel in Gorakshep. Here we will be accommodating for the night.

The unfiltered, close, and pristine view of Mt. Everest makes Kalapathar (5550 meters) one of the best viewpoints of the Himalayas of Nepal.

Once you reach this viewpoint, you will not even feel like descending. However, there is one factor that stops us from spending much time in this viewpoint and that is the suddenly changing weather and climate.

Trekkers will have to spend a little time here and descend to Dzongla (4380 meters) due to the risk of sudden changes in climatic and weather conditions. Overnight stay and SnowView Trek’s guides in Dzongla will arrange Dinner.

Today we are gonna have a long day ahead as we will be trekking for 8 to 10 hours to reach Dragnag (4700 meters). So early in the morning, we have breakfast and start to continue the trail.

The initial trail starts easily with some flat rocks across an arid valley. But as we move forward the path is slippery, rocky, and uneven. Some section has icy and snowy patches, which can be challenging for us. Moreover, while heading towards the second pass of Adventure Everest Three Passes, Cho la Pass (5368 meters) the path gets narrower and more exposed.

Similarly, the initial descent from Cho La Pass is gentle but as we move further down, it gets more steeper with rocky and gravel paths. Soon we will be reaching Dragnag after trekking alongside the river through a narrow gorge.

The day will be tiring, so we will now be accommodating here for the rest of the night.

Dragnag is one of multiple Sherpa Villages that we have to trek across to reach Gokyo. With an early headstart, we now head towards Gokyo Lake (4790 meters). Trekking along the glacier router, we get to see a picturesque view of the mountains.

In total Gokyo Lake system consists of 19 small and 6 big lakes. The main attraction of this expedition is these 6 big lakes. Each of these lakes can give scenic views in different aspects.

Moreover, we will also encounter Ngozumba Glacier, one of the longest Glaciers in the Himalayas which is about 22 km long. Upon arrival at our lodge, we the accommodated there for the rest of the night.

For the third time in Adventure Everest Three Passes, we acclimatize at Gokyo and explore the valley, lakes, and other places around. The Gokyo consists of a total of 6 lakes within a few km far from each other. On the way to Gokyo, we encountered a few of the lakes.

Similarly, just a few kilometers away from Gokyo, we will also see the Ngozumpa Tsho glacier from the fifth Gokyo lake situated on the northern side of Gokyo. Moreover, we will also see Cho-Oyu, Gyachung, Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, etc from a few minutes walk from the lake.

To conclude, we will climb up to a certain altitude today and descend back to our lodges for the night. The view from the path and the viewpoints mesmerize your eyes for sure. We will then have a good amount of sleep since we will have a long day tomorrow.

Renjjo La pass (5360 meters), the last pass of Adventure Everest Three Passes will be covered today. The trail to Lungdnen (4380 meters) across Renjjo La Pass can be challenging and adventurous.

Enjoying your breakfast looking at the scenic view of the snow-capped mountains and the Gokyo lake itself. We then prepare ourselves to head towards Lungdnen.

With a gentle uphill in the initial phase of the trail, it now slowly starts to get steeper until we reach Renjjo La Pass. The path leading to the pass is somewhat zigzag. Once we reach the top of the pass, the astounding views of Nuptse, Everest, Cholatse, Makalu, and more will make the trekking more fulfilling.

Now we descend through a steep path until we reach a remote valley from where we see mystic views of the landscapes. Moving further, we then reach Bhote Koshi Valley. Now walking alongside the riverbeds we finally reach Lungdnen.

Starting our day with breakfast with a scenic view in the morning. We then prepare to continue our expedition by heading toward Thame (3440 meters). Moving along the trail descending to the valley, the view of snow-capped mountains on both sides of the trail will stun you.

Today the path has some ups, and downs, a few bridges to cross, and some flat sections. Moving further for a few hours, we then reach to the opposite side of the valley floor after crossing a bridge. Finally following the trail we will encounter a white stupa and begin to see Thame as well.

Enjoying the view of mountain ranges while descending towards Thame. Upon arrival, we then explored the local community and were accommodated there for the night.

On the last day of the Adventure Everest Three Passes trek, we descend to the Lukla  (2850 meters). Following the same path we resumed yesterday, the downhill continues till we reach the Dudh Koshin suspension bridge.

The steep rock trail along the path can challenge you for some time. So be cautious in those sections. Other than that we can easily cover the rest of the trek as we have faced multiple harder sections in previous days.

Crossing the bridge while manifesting the eye-catching views of a lush hill, we pass through rhododendron woodland to finally reach Lukla. We will be accommodating here for the night

With this, our days in the Himalayas end now. The flight to Kathmandu is usually in the morning as the weather can get quite harsh during other times. In addition, you might have to stay extra for a day or two due to a delay in the flight because of the weather conditions. Therefore, prepare yourself accordingly.

There are multiple places you can visit whether it be historical or religious. Like Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Bouddha, etc. In addition, you can also explore the Thamel area which is a tourist hub.
