Nepal is home to several magnificent peaks in the 7,000-meter range, offering challenging expeditions for mountaineers. Putha Himchuli, located in the Dhaulagiri range, is considered one of the easier 7,000-meter peaks to climb, making it a great choice for those preparing for higher-altitude expeditions. Baruntse, situated in the Khumbu region, is a technically demanding peak known for its steep ice walls and breathtaking views of Everest, Makalu, and Lhotse. Similarly, Himlung Himal, lying in the remote Manaslu region, offers a less-crowded yet thrilling climb through rugged and icy terrain.
Other notable 7,000-meter peaks in Nepal include Nuptse and Pumori, both located near Mount Everest. Nuptse is known for its striking ridgeline and challenging ascent, while Pumori is a favorite among climbers for its technical climbing routes and stunning views of Everest Base Camp. Langtang Lirung, the highest peak in the Langtang range, is a formidable climb with its steep, icy slopes.
